iRest or Sakura: 3D massage chairs compared

iRest or Sakura: 3D massage chairs compared

Both brands offer chairs with a 3D massage system, but the “3D” label alone does not tell you what the massage will feel like. We compared the Sakura Maximus 809 3D with two iRest 3D chairs – Queentri (A357) and Delightry (A553) – by what the person sitting in them actually experiences.

What 3D massage means

In a 3D system the massage arms move not only up–down and sideways, but also forward, deeper into the muscles. All three chairs compared here have such a mechanism. The differences come next: how many massage techniques and programs the chair offers, how many airbags complement the massage, whether it can stretch the body and what height of user it suits.

Massage techniques and programs

The biggest difference is massage variety. The Sakura Maximus 809 3D has 4 massage techniques (kneading, tapping, patting and shiatsu) and 10 programs. The iRest Queentri has 11 techniques and 18 programs, the Delightry 17 techniques and 20 programs. In both iRest chairs the strength, width and speed of the massage arms can also be adjusted separately, 5 levels each, and favourite settings saved to memory.

Airbags and leg massage

The Sakura has 18 airbags for the feet, calves, arms and shoulders. The iRest Queentri has 36 and the Delightry 38, covering more areas: hands, forearms, calves, feet and – in the Queentri – the waist. In the iRest chairs the feet are massaged by rollers with 3 speed levels together with airbags.

Stretching and reclining

Both iRest models have a split iOpen track: the backrest and seat move independently, so the chair reclines to a flat position and can stretch the whole body. Sakura offers stretching through its “Thai” program. The Queentri also has Zero Wall – it can stand just 12 cm from the wall.

Which one suits whom

  • Sakura Maximus 809 3D – if you want 3D massage with the basic techniques and programs and simpler controls are enough for you.
  • iRest Queentri (A357) – if a deep back massage, many airbags and stretching matter; suits users up to 195 cm and fits close to the wall.
  • iRest Delightry (A553) – if you want the widest choice of techniques and programs, a modern design and convenient touch-screen control.

If you are looking for more, iRest also offers 4D chairs such as the Grandease+ (A550) and the dual-system Eagleton.

Specifications tell a lot, but the feel of a massage is best judged by sitting in the chair. You can try the iRest Queentri, Delightry and other models in our showroom in Vilnius, Statybininkų g. 1C-105. Prices and dimensions of all chairs are on the massage chairs page.
